Dr Jacqueline Gothe is a visual communication design researcher and information designer. Her work is focused in the land management sector in research projects with interdisciplinary research teams and Indigenous initiatives advocating for the revitalisation of Indigenous ecological knowledge and cultures of traditional burning practices within contemporary land management. Her media practices extend over the material and the virtual from the drawn image, print based communication, web development, animation, video and more recently experimenting in immersive installations and virtual and augmented reality. Her approach is guided by transdisciplinary perspectives and calls for a reorientation towards sustainment and responsibility for place|country in a practice of participation and collaboration. Her work is recognised by the International Institute of Information Design (IIID).
