Paul Brown is Producer for Alphaville, a Sydney-based arts company specializing in creative projects that have environmental, scientific and social themes. From 2013-17 he was Creative Producer for the Nuclear Futures Partnership Initiative that linked artists with atomic survivor communities. This program gave rise to 22 projects across several art forms, based on first hand accounts from indigenous communities in Australia, Japanese hibakusha, and nuclear veterans in Australia and the UK. Paul also holds an academic position in Environment and Society at University of New South Wales. He is a playwright and filmmaker, a former geologist, and a consultant on environmental education. His current projects take in waste and water issues, nuclear controversy, science and technology studies of ‘the underground’, and the linkage between arts and environment.
