Yi-Ling Hwong is an engineer and researcher. She specialises in applying data science methods to research complex problems. Her PhD research project concerns the application of machine learning to study the impact of social media science communication on public trust in science and scientist. She is currently a post-doctoral research associate at the Climate Change Research Centre at UNSW.
