Director Strategic Communications and Media, The Royal Melbourne Hospital

With a career spanning 20 years in strategic communications, gained across the public and not for profit sectors in Australia and the United Kingdom, Melea specialises in media relations, issues management and internal communications.

Melea has been working at The Royal Melbourne Hospital since 2012 and was appointed as the organisation’s Director Strategic Communications and Media in May 2018.

With a passion for healthcare and medical research, Melea believes that the delivery of a high quality media relations program, that’s aligned to the organisation’s long term strategy, is a critical component of her team’s agenda.

Melea holds a Post-Graduate in Public Relations from Deakin University, and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Politics, from Monash University.
