Catherine Polcz

Program Producer (Science), Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences

Catherine PolczCatherine Polcz is the Science Program Producer at the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) and manager of Sydney Science Festival. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science and Biology and a Masters in Plant Science and she has studied documentary media and photography. Catherine has an interdisciplinary creative practice and has exhibited her creative work in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Toronto, Montreal and San Francisco.
After starting her career as an ecologist and botanist, Catherine turned her attentions full time to engaging new audiences with science and technology. Her areas of interest include creative science communication, emerging technologies, environment and the practice of science. She has worked as a program producer at MAAS since 2015 and she is also a curatorial researcher at Mmuseumm, an unconventional and critically renowned design museum in NYC.
