Associate Professor Devanshi Seth arrived in Australia after completing a post-doc in Cambridge, UK holding Commonwealth Scholarship, a highly competitive and prestigious award from the Government of India. She established a unique Research Program in Australia on alcoholic liver disease in 2008. Dr Seth now leads a NIH funded multinational consortium studying genetics of liver cirrhosis and appointed as the Treasurer of the US Research Society on Alcoholism. Dr Seth has a broad spectrum of expertise ranging from cancer research, genetics, cellular & molecular biology, public health, industrial biotechnology and corporate management. She is an active promoter of women in science and was the founding Chair of Gender Equity at Centenary and is on the Peer Advisory Committee for Franklin Women.
