Emily Finch

Research and Policy Officer, Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering

Emily FinchDr Emily Finch is a Policy Analyst at the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering (ATSE), an independent think tank that advocates for the prosperity of Australia through innovative technology and engineering. Within ATSE, Emily provides evidence-based advice to government and other stakeholders on current scientific issues. She came to this role following her PhD in geosciences at Monash University. Emily’s doctoral project involved fieldwork in Norway and Scotland to examine the mobility of metals in the continental crust, with implications for the formation of ore deposits. Prior to this, Emily undertook vacation employment at Xstrata Copper Exploration (now Glencore) in Mount Isa while completing her Bachelor of Science (Honours) at Monash University.
